One Sequin at a Time
With the extra time that summer brings(oh thank you God for the rest for my tired mind) I’ve begun to think about projects. You know little things that I can do and make amazing. At the end of June my family is looking into moving into a bigger place(our lease is up, we want to stay in this general area) so I’m currently looking at room design ideas. You know, what should I do with my room. I”m thinking that I need a chandelier. Dead serious on that. I want to have a lot of pictures in a random arrangement. I’m thinking of pulling a color from Nannery’s painting that I bought to be the wall colors or accent colors. I’m also considering purchasing corkboard to put up an inspiration board which would be super fun, you know take the big inspiration book a step further and have a board up with pictures from magazines, quotes, everything pinned to it. Magic.
Next random project, go searching for random Owl Necklace or Owl Rings. Let me tell you something. Owls are freaking amazing. They represent wisdom and they’re just soo damn cool. I’m going to find me an Owl Necklace/ring. I’m also going thrifiting in broad ripple. That’s actually happening tomorrow. I’m looking forward to being in an area that isn’t…well Greenwood. I want to go exploring and try to pick up pieces that I could possible use this summer. I don’t care if I have to hem things…..thats what tailors are for.
Other random project. KILL WHEN IT COMES TO LEADING THE BEAN CUP BOOK CLUB. We’re going to be reading The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne. The discussion is going to be in July. I basically want to lead this thing so epically awesomely good. I want people to think hard and have great discussions.
Last random project. I’m going to try different ethnic foods. I want to be eating all different sorts of stuff.
Oh and finally, I would like to say that J.J. Stenzoski is effing amazing. I had Stenzoski my first semester for a research paper writing class. I got an A+ in the class thanks to lots of helpful advice and guidance from Stenzoski. Well I recommend him to anyone and everyone that I know need to take W132. This summer session Nikki is taking W132 with Stenzoski and I got a super awesome text yesterday. Stenzoski had asked me for permission to keep my papers and use them in future classes. I figured that he would just keep them just in case he lost one of his samples or something. Oh I was wrong. I got a text from Nikki yesterday that basically told me Stenzoski was using my paper as an example for her class. OMG OMG OMG OMG! For me thats a huge honor. I was just amazed that he actually thought my work was at such a standard that he wanted his classes to achieve that level. Soooo awesome. Well Stenzoski said hi to me through Nikki and I said hi back. I miss that guy. Creative writing courses that I”ll have to take you best be taught by J.J. Stenzoski because hes an amazing professor and person. :)
